This movie has a high rating in Rotten Tomatoes (89%) so it made me wonder why it got a rating like that. When I watched it, I was really disappointed. I hoped for more. It’s all about a guy who’s struggling over many things while driving. What to say to this movie? It’s not my genre. That’s all.
This movie is ranked 11 as one of the highest grossing Korean movies. Snowpiercer is a science fiction action film that’s based on a novel. I watched the trailer and it was really awesome! And Chris Evans is just so handsome even with his dirty face. Really. When I watched the movie itself, I was mind blown. This is just so unpredictable and refreshing! This is the best futuristic film that I’ve watched. Really excellent and astonishing! A must watch one.
3. Under The Skin
My classmate Aldwin recommended this to me. He told me that Scarlet Johansson played the lead role here and he keeps on telling me how perfect her body is. This is an extraordinary movie. When I saw the first scene, I already knew what’s going to happen because Aldwin spoiled me already.
4. The Other Woman
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones’ Jaime Lannister) and Nicki Minaj brought me here. This movie is just so funny and yeah, predictable. That’s all.
5. The Attorney
This movie is ranked 9 as one of the highest grossing Korean movies. This movie is about a legal attorney who only has high school diploma. I still keep on wondering if it really possible to become a lawyer without going to college. Someone told me that it doesn’t matter as long as you passed the board exam. (Is it true?) The story is not new to me anymore except the fact that it is inspired by the real life “Burim Case” of 1981.
6. The Atonement
This one is also recommended by Aldwin. He forced me to watch it. Like every single day, he keeps on asking me if I have watched the movie yet. He keeps on telling me how magnificent it is. He even said that this made him cry. And I’m like, “Seriously?” I watched the trailer and it left me many questions. When I finished watching it, it left my mouth hanging wide open because I still can’t believe of the shocking plot twist. This is so tragic and moving but it didn’t make me cry. A must watch one, too. I do really believe that two siblings should not be in love with the same person because it will ruin everything.
7. The Purge: Anarchy
I really like The Purge but I don’t want it to happen here in the Philippines. Just imagining it, I’m freaking out already. The trailer showed so much excitement and I feel like it’s way better than the first one. It’s really disturbing and this one is more fun maybe because it has more characters and there are also many people doing The Purge.
8. The Lunchbox
This one is a Bollywood movie. I’m not that big fan of Bollywood movies but I do like it. I just saw this while randomly exploring movies. I watched the trailer and yeah. This movie is so cute. Hell yeah, super cute. It was a warm and delightful romance by two lonely hearts.
9. Like Crazy
This is so much for a reality. I super love this movie. It is one of the movies that showed long distance relationship will not always work and I super agree on that since I’ve experienced it already (not with a lover but with a friend though). Felicity Jones is just so good here and Anton Yelchin is so attractive here. This movie is for realist and romantic ones.
10. How to Train Your Dragon 2
I super enjoyed this movie. No other words to describe my feels.
Next movies to watch:
- Taare Zameen Par
- 22 Jump Street
- Battle Royale 2
- Let Me In
- Short Term 12
- Before Midnight
Any recommendations? =)
